Classic Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar Trek
Mount Everest has an allure that other great world peaks do not. It is the highest on the planet but the views are not the only thing. The lore and the history will take you in. However, we feel this trek is about so much more. The joy of the clean air, the banter with Sherpas and porters on the trail and the phenomenal scenery that has a life of is own. And yes, the pancakes!
An exhilarating flight takes us from Kathmandu to the mountain airport of Lukla where we tie our shoelaces, adjust our day packs and start our journey north to the roof of the world. Along the way we regularly acclimatise so as to enjoy our journey and we also take time to visit Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries. The distances are not long, and the trekking is more about how you manage yourselves in the higher altitudes. We take our time and bask in some of the best scenery in the world. On the trek we have included all meals and we stay in tea houses for comfort, warmth and to enjoy the fellowship of the trail.
We like to describe the walking side of the trek as moderate. Anyone who enjoys walking for a few hours a day in the open air can make the journey with the pre trip planning and preparation we provide.
This is one they talk about. Don’t let it pass you by…
