Trip Styles
Our “Drifter” itineraries are journeys which are hands on and interactive. We plan to take in a wide variety of sites and locations, where possible sharing the experience with our local friends. We are always on the lookout for a local festival, wedding and basically any kind of event where we can savour the joys of living local. The tours are mostly about experiencing the location rather than merely observing. We may ride camels, paddle tribal canoes and even share meals with local families.
Our accommodation is generally reflective of the character and flavour of the region. We stay in small hotels, local family run guesthouses even the occasional village on certain trips. Accommodation standard is generally around 3 stars although we are occasionally we will lodge in a local homestay.

For those of you that crave a little extra comfort at the end of the day. Our "First Class" journeys plan to help you experience all of the fun and adventure our destinations can provide. The transport is more often chartered rather than local and your accommodation is generally a higher standard. We stay in beautiful historic hotels and Haveli, exotic lodges and stunning waterside bungalows. The focus is on a taste of luxury but the plan is to stay in culturally significant locations reflective of the architecture and design of the region.
The tours do not compromise on the freedom and fun of an experience that you will enjoy, up close and personal, on our adventures.

Our “Trailbreaker” journeys are similar in style to our “Drifter” tours. The main difference is that “Trailbreaker” itineraries are designed for new tours generally in new locations and countries not currently in our product range. Alternatively they may be operated in familiar destinations in regions and territories yet to be explored by our staff or groups.
Aspects of the tour may be researched on the ground as we go. The tour will be prone to side trips and adventures that come to our attention on the trip itself. Your leader will be looking for new things, seeking out interesting and different experiences. They will also be discussing ideas with their fellow travellers daily. Basically we will be “Trailbreaking”.
“Trailbreaker” tours evolve into our core product once researched and fine tuned. If you are looking for an established itinerary that follows well trodden paths then it may be a little better to seek out our “Drifter” itineraries that have been established over many tours.
Naturally you will see and experience many aspects of our destination and discover the highlights of the region. But most of all you will be exposed to new things and ultimately be part of something new, created by Global Drift, yourself and your fellow travellers.

Our “Escape” adventures are for those wishing to relax or rejuvenate at the beginning or end of your journey. They are short stay packages and are non guided. They tend to be generally inclusive of all transport and accommodation which enables you to find yourself in a hammock or on the beach or somewhere out of touch with the hustle and bustle of city life.
There are limited inclusions but you will have a choice of the style and standard of accommodation on offer.

Our travellers have greatly enjoyed our travel style and Global Drift journeys.
Many of your friends and fellow travellers may prefer to travel in their own small group and may also be restricted by limited departure date options for some tours.
As such we have created our “Tailor Made” travel style to cater for this.
Should you wish to have your own private journey or our tour departure dates do not suit then this could be for you.
You can start by selecting one or more of our itineraries that show our “Tailor Made” logo and we will do the work for you. You can travel with as few as 2 of you up to as many as you can inspire to travel together.
There are distinct advantages. Firstly you can select your own personal travel dates and by and large we can adjust the tour to suit these. You can also tinker with the itinerary (with our experienced advice and assistance) and make adjustments according to areas of special interest you may have. The other big advantage you have is that you can select your trip style anywhere from 3.5 to 5 star luxury.
Our Global Drift travel world is indeed your oyster and all you need to do is let us know your destination of interest. We will take away all the pain and worry, sending you and your party on your way to an experience of a lifetime.
